The American Orthodox Catholic Church welcomes you. We are a denomination based upon liturgical traditions from a diverse background. While our services reflect both Orthodox, Catholic and Anglican styles, we are a fellowship that is open and welcoming to all people.

Life and Mission
The life and work of the American Orthodox Catholic Church Western Rite begins in local congregations, grows throughout dioceses (or vicariates) led by bishops (or episcopal vicars), and extends into global relationships. How are you called to play a part in the mission – the life and work – of the church?

First, we must ask: what is the mission of the Church? The mission of the Church is to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ. Second, how does the Church pursue its mission? The Church pursues its mission as it prays and worships, proclaims the Gospel, and promotes justice, peace, and love. And third, through whom does the Church carry out its mission? The church carries out its mission through the ministry of all its members.

Prayer of the AOCC
by The Most Rev. J.J. Raffaele, Archbishop
Almighty God, our diversity is your gift, and leads us to reach beyond ourselves to embrace people of every race, location, nation, ethnic and social background. Countless are those who have come to our doors with their hopes and dreams, seeking acceptance, welcome, safety, dignity and freedom to worship you. By your grace they continue to be invited and nourished by our community of faith. As an ecclesiastical family of service, prayer, and love, may we your clergy and religious, further grow in faith and always be a beacon of truth and openness to others. Amen.
